5 Spring Date Ideas

May 19, 2018 by Steve

Whether your date night is once a week or every night, thinking of something new and exciting to do can become a challenge, especially in the colder months of winter. As the seasons change and give way to the warmer, sunnier days, you’ll find that you now have many more options for more interesting dates.

Springtime Dates

Whether you go outside or opt for an indoor activity, Spring is the perfect time to go on an adventure with your loved one. Regardless of your budget, Springtime brings some of the most affordable and interesting date ideas to mind. Read on for five of the best dates you have to try this Spring.

1. A Romantic Picnic

Often thought of as cheesy, the romantic picnic is anything but when enjoyed under beautiful blue skies. Whether you go for the more gourmet option of wine and hors d’oeuvres or you choose grilled cheese and juice, your next picnic at your local park is guaranteed to be a hit. For the more adventurous couples, the romantic picnic idea can also be enjoyed on a kayak or canoe adventure. Just be sure to have your food packed in a waterproof bag in case of emergency!

2. Put Together Your Own Drive-In Movie

Depending on where you live, you may or may not have an actual drive-in theater available. However, you can get a bit creative and set up your movie in your own backyard. While this may seem a lot like “Netflix & Chill”, this date is still a cute take on a classic idea. If you really want to take your movie watching to the next level, consider renting a projector to stream your movie wherever you want. Don’t forget to load up on movie snacks as well!

3. Kite Flying as a Couple

Does anybody love to fly kites anymore? Well, if they don’t you and your significant other should start! Having a kite flying outing allows you to take advantage of a beautiful day while spending quality time with your sweetheart. Be sure to head out on a windy day to ensure your trip is filled with the best kite flying weather.

4. Create Your Own Cocktail Bar

Put together your own take on happy hour by setting up your favorite drinks at your place. Whether you are lining up pretty Mai Tais on your balcony or sipping margaritas in the backyard, this idea will allow you to catch a buzz with your babe without the hassle of a noisy bar or steep pricing.

5. Biking the Day Away

Even if you don’t own a tandem bike, sharing a bike adventure as a couple is always a great idea. Choose any clear day to grab your bikes and ride through the city together. Taking a trip by bicycle is much more exciting than any ride in the car. Midway through the trip, you can park your bikes at a local bar or restaurant to grab a bite to eat.

Perfect dates can happen any time of the year, but this season is optimum outdoor-date time. Whichever adventure you choose to go on first, remember to have lots of fun and share a lot of love!
