Remember and Laugh Out Loud

December 16, 2016 by Steve

In memory everything seems to happen to music. ~ Tennessee Williams

Take a walk down memory lane together. Look at old photos. Listen to old music. Tell each other your best memories. Keep it positive, upbeat and fun. Laugh out loud and share your affection as you recall your stories in vivid detail.

One of the best ways to make yourself happy in the present is to recall happy times from the past. Photos are a great memory-prompt, and because we tend to take photos of happy occasions, they weight our memories to the good. ~ Gretchen Rubin

I’m not old by any standard, but sometimes it’s good to look back at photos from when we were married and realize that we are still young and can have fun together. Somehow life has a way of zapping youthful vigor out of a person, especially in marriage and family. I love photos bc they have a way of snapping me out of the everyday and making me see my life as more of a movie in which we are the lead characters.

    Thanks for this idea!
